SERVICE : LET'S MEET COMMUNITY FORUMS
Bringing friends and neighbours together
There’s no denying, our lives have changed dramatically over the past couple of years, and, for many, the isolation felt during the lockdowns is having a lingering effect.
Whether you are unemployed, have fewer working hours, are working from home, or the cost-of-living crisis has stopped you getting out – now is a really great time to get to know your neighbours, and reconnect with old friends.
Our Let’s Meet Community Forums offer an afternoon to meet, chat and enjoy coffee, while the kids are entertained with art projects, games and activities.

Relax, eat & meet
Taking place in our hub at the Play Barn near Staple Tye, our Let’s Meet forums bring the whole community together.
Everyone is welcome, and everything is free! So, just pop down, relax, enjoy a coffee and meet new people, while the kids make new friends, have fun with arts & crafts, and enjoy popcorn and candy floss.
It’s a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon, a great way to catch up with news, and to connect with others in your neighbourhood.
Meet local service providers
Interesting in starting something new? Stroll around and check out the local service providers, many of which are free to sign up to.
At our April 2023 event, dozens of services were available through the providers attending.
Groups affiliated with Essex Council, included, Essex Wellbeing, AgeWellEast and Adult Community Learning (ACL).
We also had a small local charity, Fishing in Mind – teaching angling, and a new small business, Rescue Fit – providing fitness and first aid training in the Town Park.
Volunteer
Putting together our Let’s Meet Community Forums is a big job, and it’s all done by volunteers. There are no paid staff at Community Embrace UK.
If you have some time available to help out with the next event, we would love to hear from you. Please check out the information on our Volunteer page here, and get in touch.
Become a sponsor of the Let's Meet Community Forums
Our Let’s Meet Community Forums are growing in popularity. In our first event of 2023 we welcomed 90 families, for an afternoon of mingling with neighbours, friends and service providers.
Our goal moving forward is to increase the frequency of these gatherings, providing people with more opportunities to strengthen their ties in the community.
As a sponsor for one or more of these events, you have the opportunity to show support for our community during these challenging times, while increasing your brand awareness in a relaxed, slow-paced, friendly environment.
